Memcached in Cloud Hosting
If you host script-based sites in a cloud hosting account with us, you will be able to add the Memcached data caching system to your web hosting plan with just a few mouse clicks through your Hepsia Control Panel. The upgrade will be available instantaneously and, since the needed extension is already installed on our cutting-edge cloud website hosting platform, you can start using it right away. To give you more flexibility, we offer two separate upgrades related to the number of instances (in other words – how many Internet sites will use Memcached) and to the amount of memory that Memcached will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 megabytes and you can add memory whenever you need. Naturally, the more memory Memcached is allowed to use, the more content it will cache, so in case you have a heavy-traffic website with a lot of data, you may require more memory to be able to make the most of the power that Memcached can offer you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can get the Memcached memory caching system as an optional upgrade with all our semi-dedicated hosting plans and since it works with any script-based application, you can use it for each website that you host on our semi-dedicated servers, regardless of what app you have used – Joomla™, Mambo or WordPress, a custom-developed one, etc. You can request the upgrade from the corresponding section of the Hepsia Control Panel from which you manage your semi-dedicated account, and you can select two different things – the number of instances and the amount of system memory that they will use. To put it in simple terms, these things specify how many websites will use the Memcached system and the amount of system memory that the system will be able to use to cache your info. The two things are ordered independently for more flexibility and one instance does not come bundled with a pre-defined amount of system memory. You can make the most of Memcached with any kind of website and both you and your visitors will quickly see the difference in the overall performance.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached comes by default with each VPS server that we are offering provided that you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you won’t have to pay anything extra to be able to take advantage of the power of this data caching system. The more powerful VPS hosting plan you choose, the more memory Memcached will have for data storage purposes, but you will have at least several hundred MB at all times, which is much more than the amount of memory you would get with a shared web hosting package. This will enable you to use Memcached for numerous Internet sites, no matter how heavy they are, which in turn means that you can use a lower-end plan for them without overloading the Virtual Private Server. The Memcached caching system is excellent for script-driven software apps such as Joomla™, WordPress, OpenCart or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom app. Soon after you activate the Memcached caching system, it will begin storing data and you will observe the enhanced overall performance of your websites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached comes free of charge with all dedicated web hosting plans that we offer and the sole condition is that the server must be ordered with the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You can use the distributed memory object caching system for any database-driven site, including those that are based on famous software apps – for instance, a WordPress personal weblog or a Joomla™-driven social networking site. Each server comes with a certain amount of system memory that the Memcached system can use, but the minimum amount you’ll get is 3 gigabytes, which is quite enough to improve the speed of extremely large sites substantially, since this very memory will be dedicated to storing the cached data. The Memcached system will begin storing data once it’s enabled, so shortly after that, you will detect the improved performance of your Internet sites and the decreased load. A lot of websites use the Memcached caching system to boost their efficacy, including famous ones like Wikipedia and Reddit.
